Bioactive Ingredient for Stimulation of the Commensal Skin Flora

Frequently used hygiene measures such as hand washing can damage the natural microbial shield of the skin. This removes not only harmful bacteria but also beneficial bacteria of the skin's protective microflora. In our microbial strain collection we have identified a Lactobacillus strain producing bioactive substances which specifically promote the growth of the positive commensal skin microflora. By growth stimulation of the protective bacteria, such as Staphylococcus epidermidis, potentially harmful germs are kept in check, and the function of the protective microbial shield is efficiently restored.
